Emmy was our sassiest child out of three. Alongside her big brother and little sister, she had a wicked sense of humour, a goofy laugh and smile that lit up the room and would make you smile even from a photo. This beautiful smile of hers never faltered during her treatment, even to the end. It gave us hope and still does to this day.
These mountains are symbolic to her journey with the highs and lows as well as a nod to her favourite song she used to sing by Calum Scott.
Art and creativity provided Emmy opportunities to escape from the hospital surroundings making bracelets for the nurses or simply just having fun. Different art materials and crafts enable children, like Emmy, to explore their senses as well as express their feelings if they don't want to talk.
