HOPE PROGRAMME FOR CANCER
MACMILLIAN CANCER SUPPORT
In 2017, George Saxon, Lecturer in Fine Art at Coventry University and his course students formed a HOPE group.
The students studied course transcripts, stats, feedback and worked with participants to jointly formulate their experiences through art.
Yasaman, Coventry University MA Illustration & Animation student worked with Sue Mason, cancer survivor and Hope facilitator from the Wirral.
This poem narrates Sue's experience as a cancer survivor and Hope Programme facilitator. Sue expressed her feelings and story of survivorship in form of poetry and Yasaman translated her words into a visual form of cell animation.
