Hope Programme for Retirement from Fire and Rescue Services (UK Wide)

Are you retired, or planning to retire within a few years?

ONLINE Hope Programme for retirement from fire and rescue services

This self-management programme designed specifically for beneficiaries of the Fire Fighters Charity looking to prepare for and maintain wellness in retirement.

The course aims to:

  • Help explore the transition into retirement from the fire service, the common challenges faced, and how to prepare effectively.

  • Find meaning, explore changes and stay connected with friends and other social groups for a fulfilling retirement by exploring life priorities.

  • Explore the impact of retirement on health and identify strengths and where to look for new opportunities.

Discover the chance to connect and engage with peers who are approaching retirement or have retired, all while having the freedom to choose anonymity on the platform based on your preferences.

In partnership with the Fire Fighters Charity.

Course duration: 3 weeks. It takes up to 2 hours to complete each weekly session, which you can complete at any time which is convenient to you.

What you need: You can do the course on your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. The course is not delivered in a way for people to be on “at the same time”. Like a website you go through the materials each week, but you can do this at your own pace and time that suits. Some people do chunks of 20mins some people do more or less whenever they can find the time

“This programme has helped me think about who there is that I can get help from and helped me remember they are there. I found affirmation in the decisions I made for myself . I managed to give myself credit and compassion for how far I’d come and the difficulties I’ve overcome!”
